Digital Wax is the Forest Hill School record label. Anyone at the school, pupils and staff alike, can submit tracks to the label boss, Phil Simpson. If a track is accepted by the label, the band will be added to the roster. Click on a band in the roster to find out more about them and hear their tracks.
If you find a band you like and you have iTunes on your computer, you can subscribe to them. iTunes will download their current single and allow you to download any previous tracks. Also, when new tracks are released, iTunes will automatically download them for you.
The head of Artists & Repertoire, Mr Salmon, will be on the lookout for outstanding new bands who may be offered a contract with the label. They will receive preferential recording sessions with an experienced producer and have a dedicated team, led by Ms Bonnell, for graphic design and cover photography. It is then down to the band to promote their record, with the aim of getting it to the top of the weekly singles chart.
Tracks accepted by Digital Wax will also appear on The View From The Hill, Forest Hill School’s internet TV station.
iTunes is free and is available for download from www.apple.com/itunes
